A volcanic eruption is a remarkable display of the Earth’s power. During eruptions, accumulated magma is forcefully expelled to the surface, rising hundreds of meters into the air. In the majesty of the metal object forming the base of the ASTEROPE dining table, I tried to capture this process.
The 20mm thick Planibel bronze dark glass top plate is mounted on a monolithic central base finished with a textured bronze antique liquid metal. The shape of the base ensures sufficient stability of the table and comfortable legroom for users in any arrangement of chairs. Through the glass plate you can perceive the shape and structure of the base from every angle.
