ARCALIS

The ARCALIS coffee table consists of a solid cross-cut top and a tree root shaped base. The surface is finished with a polished copper liquid metal. In creating this table, I followed the same path as in the design of the Meridiana dining table. I wanted to offer the customer an exceptional piece of wood, and the base is only meant to subtly complete the shape of the table and let the top stand out. The top of this table is always made from one piece of cross-cut log, always unique and unrepeatable. In selecting the boards for this table, I place emphasis on the origin, the shape of the board, the exceptional pattern and texture, inspired by feelings based on respect and admiration for nature’s creations. I give it the opportunity to flow into our homes in all its perfection. I sensitively reveal and express the strong emotion that is hidden in each unique piece of wood. I offer the possibility to see the whole history of the tree and from the moment our presence is interconnected with it we can feel its pure touch, rich colours and pleasant warmth.
