GUNIBUU

In creating the GUNIBUU dining table, I worked with the geometric shape of a circle, which is modified into an irregular shape for the stability and ergonomics of the table base. The individual rings of the base are intertwined to form a chain. Chains worn as jewellery have a long and fascinating history that is intertwined with culture and symbolism. They have not only served as ornaments, but have also been symbols of power and status. They are carriers and mediators of history, culture, personal identity and art. Nowadays they are popular mainly as a fashion accessory, where the variety of’ materials such as gold, silver, or platinum allow for the creation of a wide range of styles and designs. The base carries a table top in the shape of an irregular circle with a thickness of 60mm. The table top is dÿhied and finished with a matt lacquer.
