MERIDIANA

Can wood be a good investment? I am convinced that it can, which is why I created the MERIDIANA dining table, whose base consists of two freestanding organic objects whose shape is inspired by the branching trunk of a tree. It is finished with a polished liquid metal to take as little attention as possible away from’ the exceptional top and to direct the gaze towards the beautiful wood. The top of this table is always made from a single piece of longitudinally cut trunk, always unique and unrepeatable. The size of the top can be up to 6000x1500x100mm. When selecting the boards for this table, I place emphasis on the origin, the shape of the board, the exceptional pattern and texture, inspired by feelings based on respect and admiration for the creations of nature. I give it the opportunity to be brought into our homes in all its perfection. I offer the opportunity to see the whole history of the tree and from the moment our presence is interconnected with it we can continue to feel its pure touch, rich colours and pleasant warmth.
